Applied beats theoretical
A modest system running in production every day is worth more than an ambitious architecture that never leaves the deck. We optimise for what’s live at the end of the engagement.
The strategy decks are easy. Getting a system live, governed, trusted and used every day is the hard part — and that’s the part we do.
Applied AI (S) Pte Ltd was set up for a specific frustration: Singapore companies were spending real money on AI and getting slide decks, proofs-of-concept and pilots that never made it into anyone’s daily work.
The missing ingredient usually wasn’t technical capability. It was product judgement — someone accountable for deciding what’s worth building, what good looks like, what happens when the model is wrong, and who owns it after go-live.
So we do both halves. We build the systems, and where a company needs it, we supply the senior product leadership to steer them, through our Fractional Product Officer engagements.

If AI isn’t the answer to your problem, we say so at the consultation. A fixed process fix or a spreadsheet sometimes wins — telling you that costs us a project and buys the relationship.
We’d rather leave behind a capable in-house team than a permanent dependency. Every engagement includes knowledge transfer as a deliverable, not as a courtesy.
Staff and customers only adopt what they trust. Explainability, oversight and clear failure handling aren’t compliance overhead — they’re how the thing gets used at all.
We keep the team small on purpose. The person who scopes your engagement is the person who does the work — there’s no layer of account management between you and whoever is actually building.
Where a project needs specialist depth we’d be pretending to have, we bring in a trusted associate and tell you exactly who they are and what they’re doing. We don’t staff engagements with people you’ve never met.
Thirty minutes, free, no obligation. Bring the problem — we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right people to solve it.
